In the prestigious comparative rating conducted by the German Council of Science and Humanities (Wissenschaftsrat), published on December 7, 2012, our program ranks in the top tier of German universities for research activities in North American Studies. In the three main categories - research quality, reputation, and research opportunities – the North American Studies Program at the University of Bonn is considered “outstanding / very good” – an evaluation that places us among the top 5 institutions for American Studies in Germany.
